On November 21st, Women Wonder Writers is partnering with the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) to host a virtual paint party for 50 child-caregiver pairs. Join us for a LIVE paint party with step-by-step guidance from a local artist. Pairs will socialize, laugh, show and tell, and finish with a fine piece of personal expression – all while cementing and celebrating familial support systems.
One of the flagship programs from Women Wonder Writers, Our P’art of Parenthood is a guided painting project that aims to decrease the impact of negative life experiences that families have faced by strengthening support system involvement. Fifty child-caregiver pairs will be guided by lead artist Roz Garay, who will be painting with her daughter Lauren.

Kailin Scott is currently the Program Manager for the Student Success programs at Pacific Oaks College. She also is a business professor at Riverside City College. At the age of 32, Kailin has had a great deal of experience in diverse industries including education, mental health, government, and higher education. This has allowed her to impact not only her workplace but also her community. Kailin previously served as the Program Director for Women Wonder Writers from 2013-2016. She has now returned as a board member hoping to impact the organization from a new position.
The Our P’Art of Parenthood virtual paint party is an opportunity to impact parents/caregivers and to create the space to engage with our younger generation while providing a positive experience and impactful guidance for children and parents/caregivers. Programming during the paint party will emphasize a number of themes centered around familial support structures.

The 120-minute virtual program will start on Saturday, November 21st at 10am and will feature pre-recorded videos, special guests, highlights, talks, announcements, exhibitors, women in unique careers, and more.
