How to Protect iPhone Against Apps

Apple is famous for setting high standards in privacy and security of data for its users, but iPhones aren’t protected from hackers. Criminals are able to steal sensitive information by stealing it from iPhone applications that gather the data on a daily bases. This includes browsing history photos, passwords, images and the current location.

You can safeguard your iPhone from apps by using a strong password that you know and don’t record anywhere (you should already be doing this). Another option is to disable the ability to display notification content on the lock screen, which will prevent strangers from gaining personal information without accessing your phone.

If you’d like to take things a step further, make sure you use the Screen Time passcode feature that lets you set up a custom alphanumeric code, or at the very least, block access to the four-digit numeric code that will make it more difficult for a burglar to force your passcode until they’ve gotten the right. You can also activate a feature that will erase all information from your iPhone after 10 unsuccessful passcode attempts. This will render your iPhone inaccessible to thieves, although it might be useless to you if you aren’t able to access iCloud photos or other content.

Finally, consider installing a reliable mobile security app such as Clario. It will alert you to harmful websites and help protect your identity from being stolen on Instagram and other social networks to block annoying advertisements and potentially harmful ones, increase your privacy with a VPN and much more.
